Packing for a 2 month trip
Keeping it light
It's so easy to want to take everything including the kitchen sink ... hang-on, we already have the kitchen sink.
I believe we have 300kg that can go in the caravan plus we have space in the ute as well. We like to go with one tank of water so that's 90kg + gas bottle (9kg). We are down to 200kg and that has to include bedding, towels, clothes, food, shoes.
CLOTHES
I tend to pack for 5 days only (in that time, I am sure we'll find somewhere to wash or I don't mind washing my knickers out in the shower).
All the clothes that get a gig must match all the others. If you look closely at my photos, I am normally wearing one of 5 outfits.
I always have one outfit for 'good' in case we end up at the races or somewhere 'flash'.
Depending on where you are staying, you can always drop into an "Op Shop" to pick something up and you can donate it back before you leave. It's a WIN/WIN for everybody.
Shoes include: thongs, runners and one other pair that matches all outfits. (To be honest, I have fairly fancy, shmancy thongs which I wear most of the time or runners)

I'll be honest, I can go a bit 'feral' when I am camping and don't feel I need to change my clothes twice a day (sometimes 3) like I do at home. With our previous trips, I have always had enough clothes and have generally worn all the ones I took with me.
Because we generally aren't camping in "bum-fxxk nowhere", there are normally shops close by or markets where we buy local fruit and veges as we need them.
We always like to try the local bakeries (vanilla slices and pies) as a healthy treat 🤣 and the local pub for a counter-meal. What's your go-to counter-meal?
OK everybody, what have I forgotten that is essential (the coffee machine still has a question mark over it). We often ride our bikes early so treat ourselves to a coffee when we are out. (Don't forget we are in a Jayco Lark camper with very limited space)
